if you're here, it's probably because you've found one of my world famous transit trinkets, as a free gift from one public transit user to another.

about

  • the transit trinkets project is an anonymous + collaborative art project about public transit, public space, social isolation, and the experiences that connect us all in a metropolitan area in this late capitalist hellscape.
  • this project has roots in the public transit system of so-called "metro vancouver", which is on the unceded territories of the coast salish peoples.
  • in all seriousness, this project mostly stems from trying to reach out for any kind of non-transactional connection when i'm barely covering rent + groceries, my ability to have positive relationships is impacted by the fact that we're all depressed/exhausted/living precariously, and now i can't even make it to work on time because once again a private corporation decided to screw over its workers.

when’s the last time you connected with your fellow commuter?

when's the last time you were able to Just Exist In Public without doing anything that generates profit for someone with more wealth + resources than you can even begin to process?
